The roots of Le Temps des Cerises go back to the vintage shop run by Gil Richardière, father of founder Lylian Richardière. Growing up surrounded by countless pairs of vintage jeans became the starting point for Lylian’s own approach to jeans.
Long before stone washing existed, Gil would soak raw jeans in water and rub them with sand to create a distinctive worn-in look. Lylian inherited his father’s passion and went on to develop new washes alongside factory teams, experimenting with different techniques and countless trials to create the brand’s own unique recipes. The result is jeans that combine the authentic character of vintage denim with a flattering silhouette and optimal comfort.
100% Mediterranean: Responsible Production Rooted in the Region
Le Temps des Cerises jeans are 100% from the Mediterranean, with everything from material sourcing to production rooted in the region. The brand sees this end-to-end traceability as a guarantee of quality.
Denim fabrics, stitching yarn and woven labels are made in Italy. The leather jacrons on the back of the jeans are made from Italian leather and manufactured and treated in Spain. Production takes place in factories in Tunisia, Morocco and Portugal, while the making of the jeans and the brand’s signature washes are carried out in Tunisia and Morocco.
Le Temps des Cerises works only with manufacturing partners that respect social and environmental standards. The factories responsible for washing its jeans meet ISO standards, with wastewater from the washing process treated in integrated treatment plants before being discharged. Each pair of jeans also undergoes quality control before shipment, reflecting the brand’s commitment to both environmental responsibility and consistent quality.
